We are a couple of weeks away from the second "martian anniversary" ( two synodic cycles of Mars completed) from the October 2008 low in the Nasdaq 100 and approximately four months away from the second "martian anniversary" ( two synodic cycles of Mars completed) from the March 2009 secondary low in the Nasdaq 100. Time for a special post on this index: I was looking at the daily chart of the Nasdaq 100 and an idea came to my mind...within few weeks the right shoulder of a monster "potential" bearish Head and Shoulders may form. Such potential bearish head and shoulders could test its neckline this next summer precisely fitting the martian anniversaries described above. Well, it is way to early to even mention a pattern like a 1.5 years huge Head and Shoulders, it has not formed yet and even if it develops a right shoulder the index would only complete and confirm the pattern next summer breaking its neckline....so here we are talking about sci-finction at the moment, especially considering how Central Banks are acting all around the world to inflate stock prices...but sometimes the less probable outcome must be traded carefully in the financial markets (black swan?). Volatility is cheap at the moment and you never know what could happen in the next few months. The Mars cycles is important, there are others that strongly influence the stock market but I always keep an eye on "martian dates"...
